slow down So here we are, right in the middle of the year.

Hello June

I always thought it was a bit of an age thing when I found myself saying “where has the time gone”, but when I heard a 12 year old saying it the other day – it got me thinking….

We need to just slow down!

A mind that is fast is sick.

A mind that is slow is sound.

A mind that is still is divine.

slow downSo sweet cheeks..

Whatever you are doing that is too fast – walking, talking, eating, living….it’s time to check in with yourself and consciously slow down.

We were not put on this planet to be busy.

Busy seems to be the anthem, the badge of honour that everyone is wearing, but guess what…it’s ok not to be busy, it’s ok to have a calm life.

Have a good look what –  or who is sucking up all your time and start making some intentional steps to unbusy yourself. We all know deep down that we can’t please everyone, so start saying no to less important commitments in your life and allow yourself to pursue what’s most important .

And don’t forget you can always….

Ask for help.

No successful operation is run alone.

Everyone needs a wing man or a crew.

Asking for help is profoundly liberating, prevents burn out and gives you more time to focus on the good stuff, life!

Stop multitasking

When we multi task we are not truly present.

slow down

Speed seems to be the modern day high, but…

..rushing around trying to do too many things at once wastes productivity, makes you less efficient and you’re more likely to make mistakes. It can also lead to overwhelm and is a huge energy zapper.

Don’t let busy define you and take over your life…un-busy is possible.

Revisit your priorities because at the end of the day….busyness is, at its core, misplaced priorities.

So take action now and start slowing down, being present and soaking up this wonderful gift of life you have been given.

Time does move quickly – but not if you slow down, observe, prioritise and focus on what is most important to you.

And remember….

Every device you have that keeps you plugged in and distracted has an OFF button.

Much love
