I remember sitting on the train, it was raining, London was looking spectacularly grey and grim.
I had just come from a long day at the hospital, we were headed home and things weren’t looking good.
All I was thinking was….’how much longer can I keep this brave face thing going’. For the first time I could really feel myself slipping into the darkness.
As the train pulled out, heavy rain splashed over the window, all I could think was – I just want to get home, home to Brighton.
I love Brighton.
As I looked down I could see Wayne’s big secure hands woven into mine, Mum was doing her usual everything is going to be fine chitter chatter!
I love my family.
And in that exact moment I was hit with the most enormous wave of gratitude, the kind of gratitude that hits you right in your core. Gratitude that cracked me open wide.
How blessed am I to have so much love and support from an incredible husband and family…how do people do illness alone.
Hospitals are the place I want to be spending my time right now – but how blessed am I to be going to the top one in the country…imagine having absolutely no access to hospitals and medical care, how do people do illness with no support, how do people do illness alone.
And when we finally made home, called a take away and settled in for the night, I was still trying to process the road ahead…but I couldn’t have felt more blessed, grateful and appreciative for every single thing in my life.
And so the rampage of appreciation began!!
I started to look at every single part of my life at such a granular level and realise how unbelievably lucky I was!
It turned out that when I was going through the worst time in my life my gratitude went to the next level!
I always thought I had been quite a grateful and appreciative soul!
But having my health hijacked and an expiration date stamped on my medical documents I realised there is nothing more precious than life..and the incredible life I had been given.
Because the vibration of appreciation is the most powerful connection between the physical you and the Non-Physical You, this process will also put you in a position to receive even clearer guidance from your inner being.
The more you practise appreciation, the less resistance you will have in your own vibrational frequencies. And the less resistance you have, the better your life will be.
Also, by practising this Rampage of Appreciation, you will become accustomed to the feeling higher vibrations, so that if you ever revert to an old pattern of conversation that causes resistance in your vibration, you will notice it, early on, before the vibration gets to strong.
These words are absolutely golden!
They come from the book Ask and it is Given, written by Esther and Jerry Hicks on the teachings of Abraham, a life-changing book and a must read! I only picked this book up last year so I’m thankful I was actually way ahead of my game !!!
So life might be totally peachy for you right now – or things could be going a bit sideways – but just remember you can always reach for a better thought, it’s just a matter of choice – and your soul is depending on you.
And finally I am going to leave you with this last beautiful nugget…
Once you have made the decision that nothing is more important than that you feel good, and you have decided that you are going to consciously look for some things to appreciate today, the object of your attention has now become the feeling of appreciation.
You have now established a circuit between you and that object of appreciation that the Law of Attraction will begin working on immediately, so you will start seeing more things to appreciate right away.
I’m so glad I did – and I know you’ve got this too.
