Many moons ago I decided to go completely cold turkey on women’s media and the quick fix to a bikini body etc.. it all tends to become a bit of a headache….. so I opted for a more positive way.friends

And lets face it – no one looks good in a bikini or their latest summer threads when they are hungry, miserable and stressed out!!

These days, as the transition from spring to summer takes place, I prep my mind, body and spirit for this change in a completely different way!

My golden mantra has always been, “If you don’t go within you go without.” And I truly believe that to unearth our deep inner beauty we must start on the inside and shift our thinking around body awareness to include practises of love, compassion and being connected.

That’s why as soon as the summer months are in full swing I kick off my shoes at any possible opportunity, dig my feet deep into the grass, sand or land and get my summer glow from Mother Earth!!! alexandra backshell

Earthing or grounding is a term coined by Clint Ober which means connecting to nature by grounding yourself in it.

This is no hippy woo hoo stuff either peeps, science is all over this!! It’s an epic topic so here are a few little nuggets for you from the one and only Dr Mercola..

Health benefits of Earthing

♥ When walking on the earth barefoot, free electrons from the earth transfer into the body via the soles of the feet. The electrons are some of the most potent antioxidants known to man and what we need to prevent ageing.
