Whenever I go to the hairdressers I’m always pumped.
I’m gonna do it, I’m gonna go for the big chop..the edgy bob, something different.
But as soon as my bum hits the seat I always bottle it!
“Just a trim please”!
Although recently I was so proud of myself I actually did go beyond the trim and I even went a bit darker!
Then three days in I’m flicking through magazines wanting long purple mermaid hair!
I have no idea where my major hair indecisiveness comes from..
But the struggle is real!
So, hopefully, to obtain my desired long mermaid locks I have called upon the mighty castor oil – the master oil!
With a surprise added bonus!
Castor oil is old school and has a whole array of health benefits, especially for the skin. It has natural antibacterial and anti fungal properties and it’s high in vitamin E, proteins and Omega 6 and 9 fatty acids.
Ricinoleic acid in castor oil is one of the essential amino acids required by the body. This omega 9 fatty acid provides nourishment to hair follicles promoting hair growth.
Castor oil will also protect existing follicles, lessen the impact of pollution and return the scalp to the optimum pH level.
Some of the testimonials are insane and it is said to increase hair growth 3 – 5 times the normal rate! So, thought it was time to give it a whirl – and I haven’t been disappointed. Right now my hair is in the best condition ever and the length is coming along nicely too!
And the added bonus….
Using a cotton bud, apply a small amount of castor oil along your lash line. This targets the bulbs of your lashes providing them with the nutrients for healthier regrowth. Some people have even reported to see a difference in one week! I’m three weeks in and I’m starting to see a surge!
Castor oil for the hair…
Massage 1 -2 tablespoons into the scalp and leave for as long as you can. Then wash, condition and style as usual. You can always heat it for a hot oil treatment if you want to up your game a bit.
Unfortunately with today’s pollution and all the toxins in hair products etc, our ‘crown and glory’ has to put up with so much – so get castor oil at the top of your beauty shopping list – your hair will thank you for this one!
Buy organic if you can, and if you have any friends that are a bit ‘follically challenged’ I would definitely give them a heads up with this one!!
Have a wonderful week
Much love ♥
